Take an Afternoon Nap

Afternoon naps always feel like the best thing in the world. As an adult, we are not allotted a "nap time" every afternoon; when you slip away into a nap at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, you get that feeling of nostalgia mixed with a slight tinge of guilt that you're sleeping at 4 PM on a Wednesday afternoon.

I took a nap this afternoon and woke up around 7:30, disorientated as ever. Now I am awake as a night owl as it nears 1 AM, on account of the three hour power nap I snuck in today.

Here's a few pictures that might make you miss that infamous hour known as "nap time":

Chicago

There are a million versions of this song; the original, acoustic, adult contemporary, multi-personality disorder version. Ok, maybe just four, but it's a lot. However, this one is my favorite:

Fingerprints in the World

I love fingerprints, they're unique and timeless. A thumbprint from 20 years ago looks the same as a thumbprint from today. Fingerprints have become something to look down upon, as if they should only be used when getting arrested, but I love them in all sorts of environments.

Lately I've seen a lot of couples incorporating fingerprints into their wedding and I think it's a pretty cute idea. Most use it on invitations or as a guestbook idea, but they're starting to pop up even as art pieces in homes.

This one's for a band; I think this is such a cute idea.
This is a PAPERCUT of their fingerprints. Simply UH-mazing.

How to get curls without heat, rollers or a whole lot of effort

This girl is a genius. Tutorials rarely ever work for my hair because it's awfully frizzy and wavy and never wants to cooperate with me. But I've done tried this method twice, both times with pretty good results.

Tip: It really does work better on dry hair; the second time I tried it, I thought I could get away with slightly damp hair, and I ended up rewrapping my hair in the morning. Even if you blow dry it first, you'll get better results from dry hair.

Paint Chips

I've seen a lot of creative uses for paint chips recently that make me want to raid my local hardware store...

Easter Garland

Paper Punch Garland
Bunting
Phonics Game

Place Mats
Place Cards

I'll never be a cheerleader...

But I do appreciate pom poms. Here's a couple of favorites I've seen around town:

Made from yarn....

From Tissue paper...
From Old T-Shirts....

From Scrap Fabric

I'm not getting sick...

But if I were, these are my absolute favorite things to do when I'm sick:

Crawl under a down comforter...

Eat Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

Watch too much TV
Lots of this.
Not a lot of this

Going to Great Lengths

I've been toying with the ideas of maxi skirts for awhile, but being 5' 1" doesn't really make it an easy task. Here's some looks that I ran across and have inspired me to give those longs skirts another try.
