Lately every other DIY project I see involves
pallets; it seems like an odd phenomenon considering these things are usually surrounded by forklifts and such. But people are finding all sorts of things to upcycle these things.
My main association with pallets is goats; when my sister and I were younger, we somehow got our parents to get us goats. Now, you must take into account that we live in the suburbs, and no one really keeps goats in their backyard. But we were homeschooled and 4-H just fit in with some many of the other homeschooler stereotypes.
Anyways, my parents would get free pallets and put them in the backyard for the goats, because they enjoyed walking and climbing on them. They weren't the only ones; I have a faint memory of tap dancing on one of them with a fountain ponytail on top of my head....
